The local Inner Wheel Clubs supported the MK Food Bank effort to beat the Guiness Book of Records World record for the longest line of food cans. The bid was successful.
JANUARY 2024 members knitted and crocheted five post box toppers to celebrate Inner Wheel’s 100th Birthday and these were installed around Milton Keynes. Clubs all over the country took part in similar efforts. It was a bitterly cold morning !

In the lead up to Christmas, the group of members making up our small choir performed for charities and also a concert ( shown here) for friends and partners. It did get a little more lively than shown when they sang the ‘Cowboy Carol’ and worked their way through the 12 days of Christmas !
February brought another successful quiz night when we hosted guests from several other clubs
March and April brought a little excitement, with a trip to our local John Lewis store for a Clarins experience in March.
The April Meeting brought a new experience too - ‘Sit down Zumba’. It might not have added much to the exercise regime but it certainly produced a few laughs !
A number of members have started a craft group to explore the making of items for our Christmas Stall at Stony Stratford. This has involved several new skills being learned
Spring again and the members gather for a progressive Sunday Lunch where groups of 6 or 7 members join for progressive meal courses in each others houses. Lunchtime usually extends well into the afternoon with a course at each house and coffee at the end when all meet up
To celebrate the 100th birthday of Inner Wheel, Wolverton Inner Wheel have taken on the planting up of the ‘Wolverton Wheel’ at the entrance to Wolverton. This railway wheel design reflects the origins of Wolverton as a Railway town in 1838 to build locomatives and carriages for the new railway between London & Birmingham.
Several members of our Inner Wheel Choir joined to sing for a Saturday concert at the Elizabeth House residential home in Stony Stratford. Much appreciated by the large audience of residents
